This year’s Machine Tool Exhibition was held virtually due to the pandemic. For many, it’s their first time exhibiting at an event virtually. We spoke to Marposs on their first virtual exhibition experience with iStaging.

What triggered you to do virtual exhibitions? What were your expectations?

  • Marposs: Initially we decided to try out virtual exhibitions, because the physical event was cancelled due to the pandemic. For us, it’s a brand new experience, therefore we were quite anxious at the beginning. However, with the guidance of your support team, we are convinced that this solution is a much more powerful marketing method than we could have imagined.

What kind of value has creating a virtual showroom and attending a virtual event brought?

  • Marposs: Due to our industry type, holding exhibitions virtually helps us to raise brand awareness. Previously we only displayed ads in magazines. Now with the help of virtual exhibitions, we can provide more product details and more diverse content, so it’s a way more effective marketing method. Our target is very focused in the machine tools industry, therefore increasing the client pool is limited. Hopping onto this virtual exhibition trend also shows that we are keeping up with the pace of the technology and willing to try out new things.

How was your experience of building your first virtual experience with iStaging?

  • Marposs: iStaging has a professional platform and a diverse space suitable for different scale and types of businesses. Customization is also available, meaning there are limitless possibilities. We realized that the editing platform is really easy to use, even for entry-level users like ourselves. Most importantly, it’s a cost effective solution. We’re hoping that in the near future, as virtual exhibitions get even more popularized, the virtual space can look even more real and have a host inside the space.
